Our environmental efforts, together with our expertise in heritage
interpretation, prompted Parks Canada to enter a partnership agreement with
Brewster, because we support and promote national park values.
- Maligne Lake largest natural lake in the Rockies, with
lovely Spirit Island postcard-perfect.
- Maligne Canyon the limestone walls of this narrow gorge
descend to the Maligne River, 50 metres below.
Icefields Parkway
- Banff and Jasper national parks. This is one of Canada’s
highest and most spectacular roads. The scenery is astonishing, and Brewster
tours include numerous stops for photos and nature walks at Crowfoot Glacier,
Peyto Lake, Bow Lake and Athabasca Falls.
- Lake Louise deep turquoise waters with the brilliant
Victoria Glacier as a backdrop. Lake shore trail for strolling, or explore
stately Chateau Lake Louise.
- Moraine Lake set among snow-topped mountains in the Valley
of the Ten Peaks.
- Yoho National Park adjoining Banfi National Park,
highlights include the forest- shrouded Yoho Valley, Takakkaw Falls
(third-highest in Canada), gorgeous Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge over
the rushing Kicking Horse River.
- One of the largest accumulations of ice south of the
Arctic Circle and one of the most accessible icefields in North America.
Covering an area of nearly 325 km2 and attaining a depth of 300 metres, the
Columbia Icefield feeds eight separate glaciers, including the Athabasca
Glacier. Brewster operates our famous Snocoach onto the surface of the
Athabasca Glacier - a memorable adventure! Brewster also operates the Icefield
Centre, including shops, restaurants and interpretive displays. (Snocoach tours
operate from April 20 to October 15, weather permitting.)
Banff Area Highlights
- Tunnel Mountain a scenic roadway including Surprise Corner
and hoodoos,
graceful wind-shaped rock formations.
- Banff Gondola enjoy a 360° panorama, a sea of mountain
ranges, valleys, lakes and a bird’s eye view of the Banff townsite 770 metres
below the summit of Sulphur Mountain.
- Cave & Basin National Historic Site where Banff
National Park began see the first hot spring discovered in Banff, interpretive
displays, and enjoy nature walks.
- Bow Valley Parkway
a lovely, tree-lined roadway that winds beside the sparkling Bow River. En
route is Johnston Canyon, a short nature walk through a steep-walled canyon,
with a short rock tunnel, ending at a roaring waterfall.
