Maligne Canyon - Jasper National Park

Maligne Canyon is a magical place in winter - viewed from above or explored from below. The official trail above the canyon provides the safest viewing. The canyon bottom is not as straightforward and is not a designated park trail. It consists of suspended sheets of ice over deep pools of water. The park does not recommend exploring this area on your own. Local guide services provide regular tours into the canyon. Check at the Jasper National Park Information Centre for more information.
