Winter Programs

 

Ice fishing - December through April Spray Lakes 15 miles south from Canmore, 1 hour from Banff Ice fishing for plentiful Lake Trout and White Fish. Four heated huts are provided on the ice at a variety of sites to choose from. Cooking your freshly caught fish on site is one of our specialties. Hot chocolate is also provided!

 

Upper Kananaskis Lake 45 minutes south from Canmore. Ice Fishing for feisty, fighting Rainbow Trout.

 

Bow River Fishing - Year round (winter too!) Walk and Wade - Fly Fishing or Spin Cast for

Brown Trout to 8 lbs and Whitefish to 3 lbs. (30km ‘Catch & release water).

 

There are many ice free portions of the Bow River to fish throughout the winter months. Low water conditions concentrate populations of fish and provide for some exceptional angling opportunities.
